Advanced Legal was founded in 1997 with the goal of providing a complete solution for the technology needs of the legal community. Since its inception, the team at Advanced Legal has been driven to not only solve technical problems, but embrace each opportunity to help clients and colleagues work more efficiently using technology.

Our team consists of application specific integrators, application developers, technical integrators, information security engineers, network operations center technicians, and project management staff.

For the past 20+ years we have maintained a strong commitment to helping law firms practice more efficiently and will continue to search out and support the “best of breed” technology solutions that make life easier and work more profitable.

We maintain strategic partnerships with companies such as Thomson Reuters, Microsoft and iManage that enhance the services we provide to our clients and their information systems. These companies represent what we consider to be “the best” in the class.

The cloud enables resources to be available at any time, configurable and shared. By connecting to the cloud, you expand your network to many servers without the need to manage physical servers or run software applications on your own machines. The cloud allows for more storage, heightened speed and reduced cost. By leveraging the power of the cloud, you reimagine your IT infrastructure and strengthen your security posture.

  1. Three geographically disparate backups,
  2. That are taken/occur on an hourly basis,
  3. That are not joined to the firm’s network Active Directory environment,
  4. Are validated by powering up the server backup images twice daily and providing screenshot proof of backup success/viability,
  5. Can be failed over to for production usage within 1-2 hours should the main production server become non-viable
  6. Maintained for one year of retention.

The client’s systems are patched on a weekly basis and security updates applied as released and vetted. We patch the network layer, physical and virtual servers, workstations and virtual environments. There’s also an out-of-band process to quickly deploy security updates (without waiting for the monthly cycle) if there is a urgent threat update.

SCOTT RANDALLCEO
Scott founded Advanced Legal after spending 14 years working in legal technology, including over 10 years as the Manager of Information Systems with Ball Janik LLP. Scott’s extensive experience planning and executing large infrastructure projects, word processing and accounting system conversions, and document management implementations, and his commitment to our clients positions Scott to provide unique leadership. Scott regularly speaks on such topics as network security and disaster recovery planning, intranets, extranets, web-based applications, and strategic planning of technology purchases. Scott has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations from Lewis & Clark College and attended Lewis & Clark Northwestern School of Law. In his free time, Scott is an avid coffee roaster, turning out limited supplies of handcrafted coffees from around the world.
NADA AUNE
NADA AUNEVP of Service & Operations
Nada joined Advanced Legal in January 2019 as the VP of service and operations. Nada has an extensive background in customer service and employee management. Nada has a successful career in training and development that have led to service success. Nada is based in the Las Vegas office and will focus on ticket and project coordination as well as building a strong, service driven team. When not at work, you can find Nada spending time with her two children or hiking with friends.
