Thomas Bosch
Director of Professional Services
Tom came to Advanced Legal Systems in 2004 and serves as our Director of Professional Services, bringing with him over 15 years in the industry as a Level II Systems Consultant with an extensive background in client systems integration at the server level. Tom’s expertise in the legal technology field includes over 5 years’ experience with ProLaw case management software and certification in Interwoven document management software. Tom enjoys ATV riding and camping on the coast or in the high desert during his free time.
Claudia Chavarria
Systems Consultant
Joining our team from Mexico City, Claudia has a CNS, Computer Network Systems Associates degree and is in the process of getting her B.S.in Information Systems Security. Claudia has previously been a private consultant for several small companies in the Las Vegas area and enjoys the challenge of troubleshooting and resolving issues for a variety of clients. In her down time, Claudia is a dedicated mother of two and enjoys cooking and dancing and living her life to the fullest everyday.
Victor DiCarlo
Account Manager
Vic is our account manager based in the Portland office. He has an impressive work history as a business development and marketing professional for both technology and financial institutions. Include over ten years with The Disney Company, and one can get a sense of his perception of customer service. Vic considers himself a technology generalist, often describing his IT knowledge as “a mile wide and a foot deep.” He brings to the table the ability to communicate with administrators and IT staff alike, and helps unite the exciting world of technology with the very real needs, services, and demands of our law firm clients. Vic is a transplanted Oregonian, moving his family west from their roots in Orlando, FL and St. Louis, MO.
Matt Gilbride
Systems Consultant
Based in Las Vegas, Matt is the newest member of the Advanced Legal Systems’ Network Operations Center team. His IT experience covers almost two decades, from simple desktop support up to and including systems/network administration. Matt has filled the roles of onsite tech support up to Tier-3 as well as having worked in management with small to medium-sized IT solutions providers. His range of experience is from the early versions of Windows to 2008R2 server as well as various versions of the open operating systems based on Linux. After spending several years in the Northeast and South Dakota, not having a real winter was Matt’s motivation for moving to Las Vegas.
Jenny Hanks
Business Consultant
Jenny serves as our Business Consultant and is a member of the Business Development and Marketing team in Portland. Jenny has a Bachelors Degree in Horticulture and has been a small business owner of a Portland-based flower shop. Additionally, Jenny acts as our project coordinator and client liaison, and also works directly with our vendor partners and maintains our presence in local ALA (Association of Legal Administrators) groups as well as in the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA). Jenny enjoys the day-to-day challenges of communicating and working with our law firm clients to ensure successful projects and long lasting business relationships. Jenny’s outside interests include gardening and Latin dancing, and she’s actively involved in her young daughter’s school and arts programs.
Linda Hahn-Ford
Vice President of Operations
In addition to serving as an officer of the Company, Linda is involved on a daily basis with our high-level accounting functions. She attended college in her mid-thirties when her oldest child enrolled; and since she was working, raising a family and coaching both softball and soccer, it took several years to complete her courses and earn her accounting degree. Linda’s first position was an accountant with a with a government contract manufacturer, billing for products related to the new Space Shuttle Program. To escape the routine of that work, Linda contracted her services to a temp agency and those 15 years provided her with a diverse background in all types of accounting for all types of businesses. Born and raised in Southern California, Linda moved to Oregon in 1992, and currently resides in Nevada. Presently transitioning to retirement, Linda’s free time is spent enjoying her seven grandchildren, reading, sewing and handcrafts.
Rebecca Naranen
Application Consultant
Rebecca joined the Las Vegas office in 2010 with extensive database development and customization experience since 1992 including ProLaw, PerfectLaw, and MS Access as well as several other business-specific related software utilized in private business, and local, state, and federal government. Her background of hands-on administrative experience for a wide range of fields provides her with the ability to quickly understand an organization’s workflow and how best to customize existing software for maximum efficiency, while ensuring processes are user friendly. Rebecca is a native of the Pacific Northwest and a decorated Air Force Gulf War Veteran, serving 8 years of active duty, stateside and abroad before separating in pursuit of a career in the IT field. She enjoys hiking, biking, on and off road motorcycle riding, rappelling, swing dancing, water and snow skiing and boarding, travel, camping, and anything out of doors.
Robert Nelson
Systems Consultant
Robert has joined our Las Vegas team and brought with him a vast array of experience working with systems integration companies in California, Oregon, Arizona and Nevada. He has his Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification as well as Lotus Notes and Compaq Accredited Systems Engineer certification. Most recently, Robert has worked in the gaming industry and providing IT support for a large Las Vegas hotel. Robert has worked with many different technologies over the years and enjoys the challenges in the ever changing IT environment.
Scott Randall
CEO
Scott Randall has over 14 year of experience working in legal technology including over 10 years as the Manager of Information Systems with Ball Janik LLP. In 1998, Scott founded Advanced Legal Systems, Inc. with the goal of providing a complete solution for the technology needs of the legal community. Scott has extensive experience planning and executing large implementation projects from word and accounting system conversions to implementing document management systems. Scott is an experienced speaker on such topics as network security and disaster recovery planning, intranets, extranets, web-based applications, and strategic planning of technology purchases. Scott has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations from Lewis & Clark College and attended Lewis & Clark Northwestern School of Law.
Gray Ronk
Systems Consultant
A transplanted Californian and dedicated family man, Gray is one of our senior field consultants based out of the Portland office. Gray has almost 20 years of IT experience with an emphasis on network administration and desktop support. He holds several Microsoft certifications, and is an expert with Mac having beta tested Jaguar and Puma as well as many other products for Apple. Gray’s excellent communication skills enable him to easily translate highly-technical information into layman’s terms for the benefit of our client end users.
Yvonne Sachon
Manager of Operations
Based in the Las Vegas office, Yvonne serves as our Manager of Operations, supporting the operational systems, processes and policies of Advanced Legal Systems. Yvonne’s responsibilities extend to Accounting management including Accounts Receivable and Payable and payroll, as well as Human Resources functions such as facilitating the hiring process and managing employee benefits. Yvonne also wears a Purchasing hat, ordering products and services for the Company and our clients. Yvonne is a former New Yorker who enjoys hiking and traveling but most of all spending time with her son and daughter.
David Schomburg
David joined Advanced Legal Systems in May 2005. He has a 10+ year history in Information Systems. His previous experience includes companies such as InFocus, DirecTV & Affiliated Computer Services(division of Xerox). David has completed his CompTIA Network+ certification and is also a Microsoft Certified System Engineer. Quite often you will find David troubleshooting a very broad range of system problems or providing systems strategy to our team. He is also our Senior Certified Interwoven System Engineer(ICSE) and provides high level guidance on our Autonomy iManage implementations. In his free time you will find David exploring the wonderful outdoors of the Pacific Northwest or researching that next new technology product.
Mike Smith
Systems and Applications Consultant
Mike joined Advanced Legal Systems in Oct. 2006 as a systems consultant in our Portland office. He is a dedicated professional working in many fields including case management software, applications consulting, and helped initiate our Network Operations Center. He earned a degree in Computer Engineering, is a Microsoft Certified Professional, and is a Certified Interwoven ICSE. With a long history of customer-based technical support, Mike is ideally suited to making the needs of his clients his first priority. Add in excellent technical writing, time management and the ability to adapt to the ever-changing technical environment, and Mike has the resources to solve problems and add value to any project. Mike is the consummate outdoorsman who lists among his favorite pastimes adventure trail racing, hiking and mountain climbing. Photography and traveling also hold special interest for Mike.
Cathy Spears
Systems Consultant
Cathy Spears anchors Advanced Legal Systems’ Network Operations Center. Her broad IT experience spans over a decade and includes network and systems administration, software training, database administration and website design. A self-confessed Microsoft geek, Cathy has worked with every generation of Windows since 3.11 and earned the following Microsoft certifications: MCSE, MCSA, MCTS, MCP. Cathy is a transplant from Los Angeles. She moved to the Portland area three years ago and relishes the cooler climate and laid-back lifestyle of the Pacific Northwest.
