Appassure Replication & Network Saturation

Thursday, May 16th, 2013

Anyone that has any experience with the Appassure software knows there

jobs between the core servers.

Stage Exchange Backup Exec Restore Job to Alternate Path

Thursday, March 1st, 2012

An Exchange user accidentally SHIFT+Deleted an important Outlook Inbox subfolder with numerous subfolders of its own. There is a full nightly Exchange backup with Symantec Backup Exec 2010 R2 on tape. The Exchange 2010 database is installed on the D-drive of the server with 840 GB of free space—more than enough for staging. (Staging is the Backup Exec process of restoring the entire Information Store in order to pluck and restore the necessary mailbox items.) I ran the job configured to restore to the original location. After about 30 minutes, the restore job failed with error code E000848F “The path on the media server for staging temporary restore data when restoring individual items from tape ran out of disk space.”
